ORDER ENQUIRIES & PAYMENTS

This is an enquiry based website. All prices quoted on this website are in South African Rand and are inclusive of 15% Value Added Tax (VAT). Website prices may vary from time to time.

Devonport Lighting makes every effort to assure the accuracy of the pricing and product information on our website. From time to time, pricing or information may be inaccurate. In such cases, once an order has been placed, Devonport Lighting will e-mail you a quotation with the correct information for your approval.

Devonport Lighting will confirm your order on check-out by sending you an automatic confirmation e-mail. From time to time lamps may be sold out from the chosen supplier. We will then quote you for an equivalent lamp from an alternative supplier that is in stock.

Devonport Lighting will e-mail you a quotation confirming prices and availability of your order with-in 48hrs from automatic confirmation. Some items have a longer lead time and this will be stated on your quotation. If any items are not available, Devonport Lighting will contact you to offer you an alternative where possible. On acceptance of the quotation, an invoice will be e-mailed to you so that payment can be made.

Order processing will not begin until we receive a confirmed order and full payment is reflected in our bank account. This can take up to 3 working days depending on the bank the payment is made from. We will only accept Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments. The exact amount stated on the invoice must be paid. Please use the invoice number as a reference and email the proof of payment to us. Payments must be made within 3 (three) working days from receiving your invoice.

Orders may be cancelled that have not already been shipped. A 20% handling fee will be charged. This will be deducted from the refund due to the customer. Special or customised product orders cannot be cancelled. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing or email by Devonport Lighting.

DELIVERY

Delivery charges are not included in the prices of the product. The minimum charge for courier fees is R150.00. This is subject to change without notice.

Please provide a correct and accurate delivery address as title and risk will pass on to you once the order has left our premises. A street or business address for delivery is preferable as well as a contact number. Devonport Lighting will contact you during office hours regarding the delivery. Please note that the courier will not leave a package without a signature. Should the delivery of the customers order be returned to us undeliverable, we will contact you to make arrangements for re-delivery. Should the second delivery attempt fail due to customers’ not being available, subsequent delivery and / or handling charges will be for the customers’ account.

Devonport Lighting will not be held responsible for any direct or indirect consequences of non-delivery due to external constraints or climatic conditions. Depending on product and availability, delivery can take between 3 – 5 days for locations within 50kms radius of nearest main city; 5 – 7 days in respect of locations that fall between 51 – 250km radius of nearest main city and 7 – 10 days for locations which fall outside a radius of 250km of nearest main city. Delivery will take place within normal office hours – Monday to Friday between 8:00am & 5:00pm.

If an order is cancelled after it has been despatched, a 20% handling fee will be retained by Devonport Lighting before refunding the customer.
